On Tuesday night we launched our AW17 Collection at Melbourne’s historic George Ballroom with an intimate, invite-only runway event.
Set against the hand-painted backdrop of the 19th Century ballroom, a line-up of models including Belle Lucia, Sarah Burns, Tess Shanahan, Dani Shreeve and Shanali Martin showcased the label’s new designs to a carefully curated A-list crowd.
Key attendees for the runway show included Sydney’s original bachelorette Anna Heinrich, along with reality TV personalities Georgia Love and Lee Elliott, models and social media superstars Pia Muehlenbeck, Saasha Burns, Steph Claire Smith and Sarah Czarnuch, former ‘Miss Universe’ Renae Ayris, Socialite Rebecca Harding, actors Olympia Valance, Lily Van Der Meer, Emma Lane and Travis Burns, sisters Ruby and Lucy Brownless and Nick and Rozalia Russian.
The Collection had an air of romance; channelling enchanted evenings, weekend getaways and strolls through secret gardens. The season’s colour palette is rich with deep hues of green, red, navy and blush, and features demure silks, laces and floral prints. The key looks of the collection take on a softer silhouette this season, with slip dresses, playsuits and loose, textured knits featured throughout.
The feel of the night, in line with the AW17 collection, was one of mystique and decadence, mixed with timeless style. Guests indulged in espresso martinis, French champagne, winter-inspired sangria and food by Damn Fine Food all to the beat of music by Melbourne’s DJ Lauren Mac.
